Terms of Service

Last updated 13 September 2026

These are the terms on which you use Coachy.Club. They set out what we do, what we do not do, and what each of us is responsible for. Please read the sections on verification and on payments particularly carefully — they are the two places where people most often assume more than is true.

The short version

  • We introduce parents to coaches nearby. The coaching itself is an arrangement between the two of you.
  • We check coaches, and we tell you what each check means. A check is not a guarantee about a person.
  • Today, you pay the coach directly. We never hold your money.
  • Be straight with each other, turn up when you said you would, and tell us when something goes wrong.

Who you are agreeing with

Coachy.Club is operated by Coachy, registered at Century Eden, Bangalore ("we", "us"). By registering an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with them, please do not use the platform.

What Coachy.Club is, and is not

We are a platform that helps parents find coaches in their own neighbourhood, and helps coaches be found. We list coaches, run background checks on them, let you request a trial class, and keep a record of the classes and payments that follow.

We are not the coach. We do not employ coaches, we do not set their syllabus, we are not present at the class, and we are not a party to the agreement between a parent and a coach. Coaches are independent professionals who decide what they teach, how they teach it and what they charge.

This makes us an intermediary. Where the law treats us as one, we rely on that position.

What our checks mean — and what they do not

This section matters more than any other on this page, so it is written plainly rather than reassuringly.

When a coach shows as verified, it means specific things: that a government identity check returned a match, and that a Police Clearance Certificate issued within the last twelve months was uploaded and reviewed by our team. Each badge on a coach's profile corresponds to one of those checks and to nothing else.

What it does not mean is that we can vouch for a person's character, their competence, their patience with your child, or their conduct in your home or your community hall. A clearance certificate records the absence of something on file on the day it was issued. It is evidence, not a promise, and we will not pretend otherwise.

You remain responsible for your own judgement about who teaches your child. We recommend the obvious precautions: start with a trial class, be present or nearby for early sessions with a young child, and tell us immediately if anything concerns you.

Your account

  • You must be 18 or over to hold an account. A child does not get a login; a parent or guardian registers and manages everything on their behalf.
  • Give us accurate details, and keep them current. A wrong PIN code means the wrong coaches.
  • Keep your password to yourself. Anything done from your account is treated as done by you until you tell us otherwise.
  • Parent accounts may need approval before they become active, depending on how the platform is configured at the time. Coach accounts are not listed to parents until verification is complete.

Booking classes

A request for a trial class is a request, not a confirmed booking. It becomes a booking when the coach confirms it, and both of you are told when that happens.

Times, locations, fees and what will be taught are agreed between you and the coach. We record what you agree so that both of you can refer back to it, and so we can help if there is a disagreement.

If you need to cancel, tell the coach as early as you reasonably can, through the platform so there is a record. Repeated no-shows — by a parent or by a coach — may lead to an account being suspended.

Fees, commission and GST

Coaches set their own prices, shown on their profile before you book anything.

Today, you pay your coach directly — by UPI or however the two of you agree. Coachy.Club does not collect, hold or transmit your money, and is not a payment aggregator. We record the payment against the booking so that both sides have a statement, and we calculate the commission the coach owes us and the GST on that commission.

Commission and GST are charged to the coach on their earnings, not added to what a parent pays. The rates are shown to coaches on their earnings page, and the rate in force on the day of a payment is stored with that payment — so a later change to our rates never alters a payment already made.

Any dispute about whether a class happened, or what was owed for it, is between the parent and the coach in the first instance. Tell us and we will help sort it out, but we cannot reverse a payment we never held.

If we start taking payments through the platform

NOT YET IN EFFECT. This clause describes how online payment will work if and when we turn it on, and has no effect until we do. We will tell you before that happens, and this page will be updated on the same day.

When online payment is enabled, fees for a booking will be collected through a licensed payment gateway at the time of booking, our commission and GST will be deducted, and the balance will be paid out to the coach on the schedule shown on their earnings page. Refunds and cancellations will follow the policy published at that time. We will still not hold your card details: the gateway does.

How to behave

Straightforward, and applies to everyone:

  • Do not misrepresent who you are, what you are qualified in, or what happened.
  • Do not harass, threaten or abuse anyone on the platform.
  • Do not use the platform to reach families for anything other than coaching — no marketing, no recruiting, no selling.
  • Do not attempt to get around the platform's fees by moving an introduction we made off-platform to avoid commission.
  • Do not scrape, copy or republish coach profiles or family details.
  • Do not upload anything you do not have the right to upload.

What you give us and what stays yours

Your profile text, photographs and reviews remain yours. By posting them you allow us to show them on the platform for the purpose of running it — a coach's profile has to be displayed to parents to be any use.

You are responsible for what you post. Reviews should be your honest experience; we may remove content that is abusive, untrue or posted to damage someone.

Suspending or closing an account

You can close your account at any time by asking us through a support ticket.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we reasonably believe puts a child at risk, or whose verification has lapsed or was obtained dishonestly. Where a concern involves a child's safety, we will act first and explain afterwards.

If we close your account we will tell you why, unless doing so would interfere with an investigation or put someone at risk.

Where our responsibility ends

We are responsible for running the platform with reasonable care, for keeping your information as described in our Privacy Policy, and for performing the checks we say we perform.

We are not responsible for the conduct of a coach or a parent, for what happens in a class, for the quality of teaching, or for any agreement made between a parent and a coach. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you for anything arising out of your use of the platform is limited to the commission we actually earned from the bookings concerned.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, or for fraud.

The platform is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and correct, but we do not promise it will never be unavailable or never contain an error.

If you cause us a loss

If someone brings a claim against us because of something you did on the platform — a breach of these terms, or of the law, or of someone else's rights — you agree to cover the reasonable cost of dealing with it.

Complaints

Raise a support ticket from your dashboard. It reaches our team directly, it already knows who you are, and it gives you a written record of what we said.

Complaints that are not resolved that way can be sent to our Grievance Officer, Coachy, Century Eden, Bangalore, email support@coachy.club. We aim to acknowledge within 48 hours and to resolve within the period required by the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms as the platform changes. The date at the top always says when they were last updated, and we will email you about anything significant rather than hoping you notice. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept it; if you do not, you can close your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
